Our 2018 Holiday Wishlist

Our 2018 Holiday Wishlist

The holidays are here again and we know we are not the only ones dreaming about what might be under the tree, or better yet, what we might give our loved ones for the holidays. It’s one of our favorite times of year - the weather is perfect for spending so much more time outside in Southern California, and sometimes, getting nice things to take outside is fun, too! With a lot of great sales this time of year, it is a great chance to surprise someone else, or to go for those bigger ticket items that you’ve been saving up for!

Last year, we put together a list of what we’d recommend as gifts, from big to small. This year, we’re doing something similar, but also including a few items that we’d really like to get ourselves! Let’s jump in to our list!

BioLite PowerLight Mini

We added the BioLite stove and grill to our camp gear collection last year, and it’s been a fun item to have on a number of occasions. It makes delicious burgers at camp, too! This year, Biolite caught our attention with something much smaller, but just as cool. The PowerLight Mini is a rechargeable light that can also be mounted to a bike, light up a tent, help with nighttime reading, and so much more! Combined with our other BioLite gear, it can even be solar charged. We would love to add this item to our gear kit, and it’s the perfect size and price for a stocking stuffer! DrinkTanks Insulated Growler

We love craft beer, this would be perfect for getting a to-go ration and take camping, keeping it cold and carbonated all along the way. It’s a big jug, so great for a weekend of camping, with the ability to keep the beer bubbly and cold. (Photo is from www.rei.com)

Darn Tough Socks

These were on the list last year, and are still on our list. A person can never have enough warm, cozy, fun, comfy socks, right? I love socks, especially fun patterns and designs. Darn Tough makes some of the best quality socks around, so they last forever, but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep the collection growing! (Photo is from www.darntough.com)

Rumpl Sherpa Puffy

This blanket just caught our eye a couple of months ago, and we think it looks amazingly cozy and soft. It’d go well with our regular Rumpl, but add that super soft sherpa side to add some weight and warmth. We’re definitely hoping Santa finds one of these with our name on it! YETI Cooler

This is a bigger ticket item, but worth it’s price tag. We got one of these coolers this past year for a week long adventure in Zion and Bryce - Utah in the summer! Despite some very warm temperatures, our food stayed fresh and cold with only a couple of ice refreshers. They are big and somewhat heavy, but they work really well. And they come in a cool Subaru Desert Khaki color!

Homemade Cookies

This is always a winner in our book… a homemade gift just says a lot, and who doesn’t love a tasty cookie? If you’re in the market for an easy and healthy recipe, check out the Skratch Labs cookie mix. It’s an easy mix that you can customize, and delicious! (Photo is from skratchlabs.com)

Hopefully this list has given you some good ideas of things you can surprise someone special with! Or maybe even just go grab for yourself!

Let us know if you give or get anything on our list - we'd love to hear about it!
